Deletion[edit]

I do not believe that this page should be deleted. It does not personally attack anyone but gives the facts of what Roager Took did. I have not attacked him for his crimes but have simply placed an entry to highlight that paedophiles can live within the upperclass for years without being detected!!!

Although it's not an attack page, all biographies on living persons must be sourced, which this wasn't - but now that there are sources, it's not a candidate for speedy deletion. JCzech (talk) 17:03, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I cannot understand why this hasn't been reported in the national press; it smacks of establishment cover up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Eclipsethemall (talkcontribs) 20:25, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He was quite notable before the cases relating to paedophile behaviour as a leading art critic, he is now far more infamous than famous, but combining the two he has probably as much notability, vile as it is, as many who are only considered notable for their crimes and nothing more.--Lord of the Isles (talk) 23:12, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Articles for deletion/Roger Took[edit]

"Close to an attack page created by a sockpuppet. Sources seem reliable, The Guardian etc, but I'm not entirely sure. I know that POV articles should be cleaned up rather than deleted, but I'm not convinced this meets the guideline, so I open it to community consensus", PeterSymonds (talk) 15:15, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

Please provide any citations or evidence of the inaccuracy of the removed sections, your use of the phrase 'attack page' and sockpuppet, is curiously in the extreme. I mean the sources are his own wife and the preciding Judge, what could be more neutral than that.

Note: Reinstating section deleted by User:Magdalena.[edit]

- Please split off your own Wikipedia article with references to articles about what a jolly artistic fellow he really is. In the universe the rest of us occupy, the art doesn't balance out the paedophila. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Emacsuser (talkcontribs) 19:37, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. That was me on my alternate account which I was originally using before I inadvertently crossed posted then decided it didn't matter and jumped back on my main account. It is completely appropriate to remove pointless additions to talk pages. This page is for collaboration on article development and improvement. That particular thread was clearly disruptive and served no constructive purpose. Jennavecia (Talk) 16:38, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Expanding information[edit]

I'll be expanding the career section over the next few days. Any help is welcome. Magdalena. (talk) 06:40, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Died[edit]

What the policy on people who just died, but have no sources to cite this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sulla1982 (talkcontribs) 21:55, 3 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Man has been dead for a week now, still no news breaking. This is a disgrace. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sulla1982 (talkcontribs) 21:10, 6 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

How do you know he's died? Lara 22:22, 6 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm a resident at a probation hostel. One of the people here was Roger Took. Was told about his death on monday. I looked up his name on google to find news on his death. I then found out he was pedophile!

Well, until it is released in a reliable source, we can't add the information to the article. Just have to keep a look out. Lara 16:00, 7 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

He is dead. How do we go about including this. I was in prison with Took. I left after him. He had left to go to a bail/probation hostel (4th July 2011). On the 29th July (at Ealing) he was struck by a train and killed. His remaining "friends" at Littlehey Prison were told by the Chaplain that he had killed himself. It has not yet appeared in the papers (yet in the paper edition of the local newspaper "an unamed man was pronounced at the scene..." type of thing does coincide with the facts. Also there was indeed a "incident" at Ealing on that day - as reported by Newtwork Rail. So what do we do? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.24.187.236 (talk) 10:58, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

As I said, until it is released in a reliable source, we can't add the information to the article. Just have to keep a look out. Lara 16:22, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not dead - it would seem — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.97.219.205 (talk) 17:43, 22 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

He was cut in half by a train - which sounds pretty much dead to me. The inquest has now been held and details are included on the page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.101.11.170 (talk) 08:16, 9 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
