Merge discussion[edit]

I disagree that It's Perfectly Normal and It's So Amazing should be merged here. They've been the subject of significant media coverage as frequently-banned books, and should have their own articles. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 11:17, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. If anything, the article on IPN should be expanded, not merged. Merging a book article into the article about its author suggests that the book is notable/remarkable primarily because of its author's fame as with the case of, say, the book published by "Snooki" Polizzi (sp?), because it wouldn't be hard to find solid sources indicating people only picked up the book because they were interested in her and curious to see what she said. In the case of It's Perfectly Normal, however, I suspect many of us who are familiar with the book never even noticed the author's name; I know I hadn't. Moreover, people who see it listed in a context of "frequently-challenged books" may not even see the author's name, and might be confused when their search turns up an article for someone named Robie Harris.Lawikitejana (talk) 22:23, 10 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
