Requested move[edit]

There are two article about the same person: Robert Abbett (Science Fiction Illustrator) and Robert K. Abbett. Confirmation that they are the same person comes from: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:Robert_Abbett_%28Science_Fiction_Illustrator%29&action=edit&section=1 The article Robert K. Abbett is more general, while the article Robert Abbett (Science Fiction Illustrator) covers a specific portion of his life. On that basis, I request that the articles be merged under the more general article's name. Jacqke (talk) 21:40, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

For purposes of expedience (the name of the article was rapidly becoming irrelevant with the number of non-Science Fiction books being added to the list), I changed the name to Robert Abbett (Illustrator). I still think it needs to be merged.Jacqke (talk) 12:45, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think anyone is questioning the need for a merge. It's just that WP:RM is not the process for requesting this. There are two options: Either wait until somebody else gets around to listing it as a merge, or learn how to do it yourself. See Wikipedia:merge. Andrewa (talk) 20:18, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I will learn how to do the merge--thanks for your help.Jacqke (talk) 21:08, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

From WP:RM:

That would be a merge request, not a move request. PC78 (talk) 22:51, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with this. I'd support a merge. Unsure at this stage what the best name for the merged article would be. Andrewa (talk) 11:55, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose the move of course. Even the proposer doesn't want the article simply moved. Andrewa (talk) 20:18, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merged with Robert K. Abbett[edit]

I merged the two pages [[Robert Abbett (Illustrator) with Robert K. Abbett, just now. Jacqke (talk) 21:44, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sources[edit]

My sources for the lists of books came from searching the database of Abebooks.com. I do not know how to cite this source, especially as the hyperlink to a specific book disappears when it is sold. Jacqke (talk) 08:00, 9 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I found sources that are not likely to disappear. The sources in the introductory paragraph should cover most of the books below. Some books I am going to cite the sources for, book by book. Jacqke (talk) 21:33, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
