My father was good friends with Robert A. Good so I have an inside track on how Robert A. Good was humiliated by the Nobel Prize people. They asked him to describe his bone marrow transplant descovery in a letter. They than gave the 1990 Nobel Prize in Medicine partly for BM transplants but didn't include him.
