Christmas Kids based on a backstory?[edit]

The YouTuber on YouTube Short tells something about backstory from ROAR's Christmas Kids https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ROhqrmPgALM.

Is it that true? OnionBoy779 (talk) 14:18, 8 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It is. The song is referencing the abusive relationship between Ronnie and Phil Spector as shown in the lyrics: "You'll change your name or change your mind / And leave this fucked up place behind / But I'll know, I'll know / I'll know, I'll know" and "Ronnette, my dear, don't ever disappear" (These lyrics reference how Phil was overprotective and would always keep an eye on her 24/7: if she tried anything to escape Phil, he'd end up finding her). I found an interview online, but I'm not sure if it's reliable.
