Comment by email[edit]

A user who cannot edit due to the country he is in has emailed this:

It says he received a "Peace One [sic] Earth" award. Believe that should have been "Peace On Earth."

It says he led the Southern league in 1966 with 143 strikeouts. This is misleading. For a hitter to lead a league, that implies something good, such as having the fewest strikeouts. 143 was the most. It would have been more accurate to say "struck out more times (143) than any other hitter in the Southern League while with the Mobile A's in 1966."

Please review and make the changes if appropriate. Thanks. Guy (Help!) 21:19, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The correct name is "Peace One Earth." Here's the group's website -- http://www.peaceoneearth.com/

The flag incident[edit]

"Monday is best remembered for saving the American flag from being burned"

That is HIGHLY debatable. He's quite well known for the home run against the Expos. 24.137.114.138 (talk) 17:58, 23 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
