The Eel River is one.[edit]

The invention of "South Fork Eel River" is perhaps a construct of CalTrans, but why is this river being subdivided to this level of detail? It does not make sense. There is the south fork of the Eel, of course, but it is one river. 19:37, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

Edit Warring.[edit]

Edit warring has ensued regarding the issue of proposed changes to the highway through the park. If the parties continue, there will be consequences, which may include blocks or article protection. Norcalal (talk) 05:19, 31 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's obviously advocacy from local environmentalists. Phrases like "History has shown us that removing redwoods from a grove can have adverse affects on the root systems of remaining massive old-growth redwoods; causing death to unintended trees and habitat" are unsourced and there's weasel wording supporting the cause of the environmentalists. I'd like to hear their side of the story here per the dispute resolution process. Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry (talk) 17:35, 31 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have removed things that would cause the reader to believe effort is necessary to Save the Grove. No one agrees that this will possibly affect more than the trees near the road bed, which may in turn affect others. Nevertheless, the point of view problems or bias will not be tolerated in the encyclopedia, though editors all appreciate the passion some editors have for serious matters such as this one.
