The Arlook Group should be given its own wikipedia page because while Richard Arlook founded and has made significant contributions to the Arlook Group, it has grown to include three more talent managers and a greater range of material. Richard Arlook is the company's President and a Literary Manager, Laurie Zaifert is the CFO, Kieran Maguire is a Talent Manager, Jack Greenbaum is a Literary Manager, and Galit Mantell is a Talent Manager.

While working toward a degree at Occidental College, Jack Greenbaum started his Hollywood career by interning for It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Jack worked at the Gersh Agency, Walt Disney Studios, and the Weinstein Company before he joined the Arlook Group. He currently heads up the Arlook Group's New York office. Jack is set to produce The Tip in 2020 along with Richard Arlook and Jeremy Stern and Bob Shaye of Unique Features. The Arlook Group represents The Tip's writer, Cooper McMains, in conjunction with Verve. The Tip was picked up by TriStar, and John Strickland is set to direct. Likewise, Kieran Maguire manages William Forsythe, an actor known for his bad guy roles in Raising Arizona, Boardwalk Empire, The Untouchables, The Rock, and Once Upon a Time in America. The Arlook Group also represents writer Young II Kim with Ziffren Brittenham. Young II Kim revised Rebel Wilson's upcoming film Seoul Girls. Lionsgate picked up the K-pop comedy and Rebel Wilson will produce it. References

Proposed edits

It has come to my attention that the page is being heavily edited by a user who's unilaterally reverting edits and adding tags. I'd like to avoid an edit war and therefore would like more editors to take a look.

I do not have a connection with Richard Arlook. I saw this page had multiple tags, two tags regarding the writing of the page which appeared to be redundant. I improved the page to conform to MOS style, added citations and removed the tags. I also added WikiProject tags to relevant project groups, so that others might contribute to the page. The three WikiProjects I added to the Talk page were deleted. The page, as I had improved it, has been written over. It was only after this, that I noted that the page has had considerable text deleted, since at least 2020.

I found that reliable sources do exist that verify substantial text on the page. It appears that information previously on this page relied on an article about the subject in the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer (Columbus, Georgia), dated November 24, 1989, page 29, article entitled "Arlook has Southern Mood but not in his new movie". The article is SIGCOV, more than half of the page.

I would like to request independent editors review the following edits restoring some of the removed information and most importantly, correcting family misinformation. Once the information is restored with the proper citations, I would consider improving it further.

1. In Personal life section:

Please revert the erroneous information that is currently there, which reads:

"Arlook is married to wife, Emily and they have one daughter, Nicole."\

to the correct information previously on the page:

"Arlook appeared as himself in the film 20 Dates with his daughter Emily Arlook. "

Rationale: Emily Arlook is NOT his wife, she is his daughter, verified by the information in the Rotten Tomatoes citation, as well as family obituaries. Nicole is not his daughter.

2. Infobox - replace 1 (one) child with 5 (five) children, add first spouse Debe

Rationale:

a) Richard Arlook has five children, with their names stated in the obituary of Martin Arlook in the Atlanta Jewish Times, already cited on the page.

b) The name of the first wife, Debe, and their 3 children together, is stated in the obituary of the maternal grandmother

3. In Early life and education, please put back in "to a Jewish family", add information about his brother along with his father and mother's professions, to read:

His father, Martin, was an attorney and executive at the National Labor Relations Board and a colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve. His mother was a teacher.

The page needs some protection: Tags are being added, removed, and swapped, as is text that is removed and replaced by erroneous information.

General comments to TK: Most of these are items that you could have fixed yourself; You are probably best at knowing the subject since you are familiar with all the references that you have listed above. I made a couple of mistakes in my edits because the existing content was rather unclear (or maybe I had too many tabs open, or was tired, or {whatever}).
