Quotes[edit]

I have again removed the list of glowing quotations about ReliefWeb from the article. These read like an advertisement for ReliefWeb, or something you might find on a "Testimonials" page of an organization's website. However, we need to be careful about this, because we are not here to promote ReliefWeb or its services. Please discuss here before reintroducing the quotations into the article wholesale. Services[edit]

The content in this section refers to the types of services offered by ReliefWeb. It includes quantitative information on the number of sources, types of organizations, etc. The tone can be revised to be more neutral, but deleting the entire section is an overreaction (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=ReliefWeb&oldid=776488676).

@Biratl: That's excellent content for the website of the organisation. However, Wikipedia is intended to summarize information, not regurgitate it, as has been pointed out to User:Clarawegenast on her talkpage. See also WP:NOTCATALOG. Thanks. Kleuske (talk) 11:44, 21 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Clarawegenast: Any particular reason why you've restored the content about ReliefWeb's 20th anniversary? It's material that's cited only to the organization's own website and serves only to draw attention to a minor YouTube video and hashtag. In my opinion this information is not necessary to understand at a high level what ReliefWeb is or does. /wiae /tlk 06:09, 4 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
