imprisoned for life ?![edit]

There's a contradiction between this article and Robert de Mowbray's article. --PurpleHz 19:18, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You are right. He was imprisoned for life, but in 1095 not 1088. -- Stbalbach 05:19, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

role of Count Alan ?[edit]

The Breton military leader Count Alan Ar Rouz (died 4 August 1093) was one of the few magnates to support King William II in 1088, yet he is rarely mentioned. Alan was not only the largest property owner in the east of England north of the Thames, from the Port of London to the Scottish border, he was also a hardened veteran of many battles fought beside William I or on his behalf in England and the Continent. Without his support, the rebellion was doomed from the outset. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zoetropo (talkcontribs) 02:08, 30 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
