University of Wisconsin - Madison[edit]

Excuse me Lizabeth but your comment is rude and uncalled for. It DOES matter who is in charge of the Department of Commerce and since she was chosen as chancellor of UW-Madison over a month ago, it would be nice to know who's replacing her. I find your comment outrageous, abusive and bordering on a violation of Wikipedia's civility policy, as stated: Incivility consists of one or more of the following behaviours, especially when done in an aggressive manner: personal attacks, rudeness and disrespectful comments. Yours would fall under all three. If you do so again I will report you to the editors. Have a good day. Removal of Racist Rock?[edit]

There was a controversy at UW Madison about a rock which had been referred to by some racist term 100 years ago in one newspaper report.

Students from the Black Student Union demanded the rock be removed because of how it had named 100 years back. After a long back and forth, Blank did remove it, and defended the decision. This action was widely ridiculed - I believe it should be in the article.

I think one article is https://news.wisc.edu/no-longer-a-memorial-rock-removed-from-campus/ however nothing about it being widely ridiculed (though from elsewhere some people did oppose it) and Blank sees to have played a small though pivotal role.
