The Canoe Paddle[edit]

I find it odd that the canoe paddle warrants it's own section. At any rate, the paddle is now at the Sterling North Museum anyway, so I'm going to delete that section. (talk) 22:48, 11 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

AJR Review?[edit]

Was there a reference for this review? Also, is it copyrighted? If there is a reference and justification for using copyrighted material, then please add it back. The content of the review does seem reasonable. Thanks, Brholden (talk) 17:20, 12 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Angst?[edit]

This article states in its very beginning that Rascal "is a prose poem to adolescent angst". Angst? The book is not about angst, it is about a wonderful world of animals and wilderness. I can agree that the child Sterling probably created this world for himself to flee into, since he needed it. The adult readers sees things in the book that the kid will probably not see, such as the father being pretty negligant. The loss of his mother is mentioned, but it is not a major theme. We could mention Sterling's family situation, but that is not the main theme of the book and should not be the first section of the plot summary. // habj (talk) 10:46, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Plot summary citations needed?[edit]
