A not very helpful article (? as yet?)[edit]

This "list" of "Rail transport in ...." is notable in that most of the listed articles do not exist. Unless it is being used as a guide for the active writing of the missing articles, is there much point in having it?--SilasW (talk) 13:16, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That is part of this page's purpose. The pertinent guideline mentions "In general, red links should not be removed if they link to something that could plausibly sustain an article." In this case, the red links are articles that should be but haven't yet been written. We have more editors interested in rail transport in the countries with blue links than with red links, but that doesn't mean they should be delinked or removed from the list.
