Sprawling lists[edit]

Per WP:IINFO, I'm not sure we need a full list of fellows, patrons and hall of fame inductees: "Long and sprawling lists of statistics may be confusing to readers and reduce the readability and neatness of our articles." - it would be more helpful to the reader to say something like "the Academy has a hundred patrons, including X, Y and Z" rather than leaving them to slog through the list in order to form their own conclusions about the nature of these patrons. --McGeddon (talk) 15:25, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi McGeddon, I see your point. I just wanted to update the info in the current page, which was out of date, before tackling the overall layout. I'd suggest leaving the Hall of Fame members, as they all have their own Wikipedia pages and I think it would be of interest to people to be able to click through to them. If I remove the lists of Patrons and Fellows, would it be acceptable to include a comment that the full lists are featured on the official website, or do I have to just do a simple reference with a link to the relevant webpage?
