Untitled[edit]

  • In my opinion, the last episode of the series is the highlight of the entire show. Especially "BELOVED!" and Phil Jupitus' acting-out of "Doris."

Episode 10 Buzzers[edit]

Phil's buzzer sounds like one of the last riffs from The Devil Went Down to Georgia. Should we change it? (Neosystems (talk) 14:35, 6 September 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Lord Pembroke?[edit]

Is this a mistake? The details on the main article behind the link only mentions her having the titles "Marquess" or "Marchioness" Pembroke, not "Lord"... do I need to fire a letter off to QI towers, even? Or is it the other article that's in error? 77.102.101.220 (talk) 16:05, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The question given in the show was "What prevented Henry VIII from marrying Lord Pembroke. Stephen Fry goes onto explain that Anne Boleyn was made the Marquess of Pembroke. According to the aritcle on "Marquess", it is common to call a marquesss a Lord or Lady. ISD (talk) 14:51, 6 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bill Bailey's Cactus[edit]

He said he had a cactus that flowered once every 25 years. Does anyone know what cactus this could be? 65.50.25.85 (talk) 06:39, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

King Kong - Kong King mistake[edit]

While this is indeed said by Stephen Fry during the show, it is untrue. 'King' is 'kong' in Danish insofar as saying 'King Peter' would be 'Kong Peter'. (As a noun 'a king' is 'en konge') The famous giant ape is infact called King Kong, also in Danish. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.82.224.187 (talk) 22:30, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

greek/romans myths[edit]

--Superintendence (talk) 08:51, 27 February 2009 (UTC)from mandy[reply]

I have some myths but I still need alot more. Anything that has to do with contemporary life then and now.like, I got ivory soap because it"s symbolic to one of the goddess named Aphrodite.

thx so much

Episode 7[edit]

I discovered an error in the section about episode 7 ("Biscuits"). It sais that "the word cookie is derived from the Dutch word Koekje, meaning a cake." And unless I do not know the correct definition of the word 'cake', Koekje in Dutch is just a cookie, not a cake. --CGW (talk) 16:03, 20 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

General Ignorance[edit]

Clearly the QI Elves are not aware of the existence of the Indian Lion, so the oft-repeated mantra that "lions come from Africa, tigers come from Asia" is not actually true.Mr Larrington (talk) 14:28, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Tensile Strength of Bamboo[edit]

The claim that the tensile strength of bamboo is greater than that of steel appears to be untrue: Tensile_strength#Typical_tensile_strengths —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.5.130.78 (talk) 09:32, 12 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Lightening vs Asteroids[edit]

The section detailing the chances of being killed by lightening against being killed by an asteroid is misleading. The statistic actually pretains to the chances of being killed in the event of being struck by lightening or an asteroid. Thus it isnt that you are more likely to be killed by an asteroid than lightening at any give instant, it is that if you are stuck by lightening you have a higher chance of surviving than if an asteroid hit the planet. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.211.132.92 (talk) 04:53, 1 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
