Nicolae Ceaucescu[edit]

Nicolae Ceaucescu was Chairman of the Council of State from 1967 to 1989. He did not resign from this office when he became President of Romania in 1974.

Băsescu's term(s); and Iliescu's[edit]

I am not his fan, so I might not sound neutral, but:

  1. the election result is not yet validated
  2. currently there is a null ballot recount
  3. there is a request of invalidation of the second round, and to call for new ballot
  4. if the second term succeeds the first one, is it really necessary to write two columns for that?

As a consequence of #4, I suggest to merge the consecutive columns regarding Iliescu.

Interim Presidents[edit]

When did Lyndon B. Johnson become president? The same applies to Antonescu and Văcăroiu. Romania has only one president, and the interim president is simply put president, because there is no office of half-president. They weren't elected president, but this does not mean that they weren't president. Tgeorgescu (talk) 22:55, 15 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
