Yes. Typically when one has been appointed but not acting in the official capacity (such a a president-elect or someone who has been appointed but not confirmed) articles will wait till they are actually in office. I believe this would be appropriate in this article as well to be consistent. Jurisdicta (talk) 12:13, 20 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Name[edit]

I've added a {{Citation needed span}} to

He was ordained a monk at Visoki Dečani monastery on 21 April 1985,^[1] receiving the monastic name of Porfirije (from Greek: Πορφύριος, Porphýrios; English: Porphyry, /ˈpɔːrfɪri/)^{[citation needed]}.

The cited source doesnt support any of that; I presume the fact that he chose the name at ordination will be easy to prove from another source.

As to the origin of the name: I surmise it is from a Saint; the only one I can find is Porphyry of Gaza:

If so, it should be possible to find a citable source to add to the article
if not, it would be nice to:
- say why he did pick the name Porphyry
- wikilink to an appropriate name article; Wikipedia's Porphyry disambiguation page does not list a given-name article, but under the see-also there are Russian Porfiry and Spanish Porfirio.

@Jnestorius: Reportedly, he is named after Porphyrios of Kafsokalivia, but there is no reliable source. --DragonFederal (talk) 13:01, 3 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
