Currently 132 are listed, but 99 of these have no article. It might be better to concentrate more on creating articles for any that are really notable. Otherwise it's quite likely that all will removed at once for being non-noatble. It might be quite a task to create 99 new articles which stand a chance of being retained, even as stubs. Looks like someone has removed most of the names from the list of the Polish Jazz Musicians (including those whose contribution to the jazz scene and music in general is recognized by major recording labels and publishers, some named by the current government of Poland to be of a vital importance to the history of music) while leaving some names that may arguably be underrated but not found in any official listings of major recording labels or publishers. As a matter of fact most of the removed names were of artists who suffered under the Communist regime therefore prevented from being recognized by Western Europe and US-based publishers such as BMI and ASCAP (where most of the music-related English language entries to the Wikipedia are derived from.) I allowed myself to bring back just two names that were removed but I believe there is more work to be done. I perceive Wikipedia to be a team effort therefore I'm expecting more expert voices to engage in a discussion on the subject. (edit conflict)I am likely the one you're referring to who removed many of the names. I absolutely do not disagree with your assertions about the importance of various musicians. The problem is, on Wikipedia things like "importance" have to be objectively defined. And that's done through our notability guidelines. For lists like this which aren't exhaustive/limited by definition (like a list of movies directed by James Cameron or list of English monarchs) it basically comes down to only including people/places/things/ideas that have dedicated Wikipedia articles about them already. In some cases it's ok to include one if you also cite reliable secondary sources showing that it could have a Wikipedia article about it, but not just a bare red link.
