"Planet Earth (1986 series)" is incorrect naming per WP:NCTV as it does not include "TV" in the disambiguator. Would also suggest by country would be more appropriate. Per WP:INCDAB both articles need to be further disambiguated as "Planet Earth (TV series)" can equally apply to either. --woodensuperman 12:13, 10 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose - I'm not sure how widespread the 1986 series was, but the 2006 version was a worldwide success airing on networks the UK, US, and many others. Because of this, we shouldn't use country disambig - the primary difference between the two is the year, not the regional availability. Suggested formatting also implies a remake or connection between the two series that doesn't exist. Go with Planet Earth (1986 TV series) and Planet Earth (2006 TV series). We can certainly use Wooden's suggestion as redirects though. -- Netoholic @ 05:45, 13 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I'm happy to disambiguate by year instead. --woodensuperman 09:03, 15 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Even though this was closed as "not moved", there was agreement to use alternative names. I've completed the agreed moves. -- Netoholic @ 06:15, 19 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
