Preemptive defense of the reference[edit]

The reference is not a hoax, this is actually from the NSA website! Its part of their "America's CryptoKids™ Future Codemakers & Codebreakers" campaign. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zerothis (talkcontribs) 20:30, 7 July 2007

Broken Link for Reference 2[edit]

The link for reference 2 doesn't seem to work. I suggest using https://worldwide.espacenet.com/publicationDetails/originalDocument?CC=US&NR=D53469S&KC=S&FT=D&ND=3&date=19190617&DB=EPODOC&locale=en_EP# instead. This refers to the same US Design Patent, but on the Espacenet website instead of Google Patents. 51.52.8.222 (talk) 18:06, 6 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

About today's design history[edit]

We shouldn't make this child's toy Article USA centric. The design of the typical pinwheel today hails from a japanese Origami folding technique and has nothing to do with when someone in the USA thought they should put a patent on it.

I would like to take that part off of this Article page if possible, since it's unimportant information which has nothing to do with the toy and its most commonly known Design. Thank you. Pink (talk) 02:13, 19 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
