Untitled[edit]

It should be mentioned that Pine Manor is located on an old estate and used to be a part of Wellesley College. Many of the school's building are original to the estate and have been renovated to accomodate the college.

The Dane Estate is indeed mentioned in the article. Technically Pine Manor’s only connection to Wellesley is via the Dana Hall School.

Looks like this page has been censored[edit]

I looked at this page less than a year ago, and it mentioned that Pine Manor College is one of the lowest rated and least selective colleges in the US in terms of academics. (The ratings are according to US News and World Report, though I have also heard this from a number of other sources.)

Now I see all of that information has been deleted. Is someone from Pine Manor trying to censor useful information about their school? Bostoner (talk) 20:54, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Popularly known as Pine Mattress. 98.231.228.33 (talk) 07:54, 15 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

To a staffer working at PMC today, it seems like these are deliberate attempts to undermine the College in its pursuit to educate the next generation of students, who happen to be primarily of a different racial/ethnic/class background from previous students. Censorship and sources.[edit]

@2601:192:4400:B658:AC00:8615:D652:C5D7:

You appear to have a conflict of interest with this article and are removing cited content, as well as adding unsourced content. Both of these seem to be done with the intent to better the public image of the college. Please refrain from this activity and carefully read Wikipedia's policy on conflicts of interest and use this talk page if you need assistance properly citing new content. 8.20.65.4 (talk) 15:17, 30 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The Boston Globe incorrectly reported an underwhelming grad rate and due to strategic concerns it wasnt in our best interest to correct it. We have submitted an edit request to this website more than 30 days ago. Your attempts to revert our edits - and the ‘dialogue’ occurring in the ‘Talk’ section of this website - could easily be interpreted as racial targeting, given the demographics of our student body today. It is our belief that, in fact, there are older alums unhappy with the student demographics today, and are using Wikipedia to strategically undermine the College. My beliefs are my own and do not represent those of the College. JoeByrne815 (talk) 20:06, 30 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Merger talks with Emerson College[edit]

According to the Wikipedia page for Emerson College, " As soon as he was inaugurated in 1979, Koenig initiated talks with Pine Manor College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts to relocate Emerson and merge the two schools. However, an agreement was never reached and the plan was dropped entirely." It seems if it appropriate for the Emerson entry, it should also be included here. 164.47.179.32 (talk) 20:16, 28 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
