Viscount Deligne?[edit]

Seriously? There is no mention of this on his CV. Changbao (talk) 18:33, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In 2006 he was ennobled with the title viscount (althought the title is ad personam)
Press release by the Belgium Federal Public Service:
"Faveurs nobiliaires et distinctions honorifiques Le Moniteur belge du 20 juillet 2006 publie la liste des faveurs nobiliaires accordées par arrêtés royaux du 12 juillet 2006:
- concession du titre personnel de vicomte à Monsieur Pierre DELIGNE;"

Is this now or could it soon be an extensive enough list that it shouldn't be contained in a section of the main article? AdventurousSquirrel (talk) 02:15, 31 May 2013 (UTC) AdventurousSquirrel (talk) 02:15, 31 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Doctorate dates[edit]

I'm a bit confused about the doctorate date of 1972. I edited the page on Paris Sud to reflect the fact he did his doctorate there. I'm just after noticing that the university only opened in 1971 so this looks implausible. Perhaps he studied at the IHES (a connected research institute where Grothendieck was based at the time)? I suspect something somewhere needs to be changed. WeiboEditor2000Sep (talk) 17:26, 21 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
