Coat of arms?[edit]

Did the People's Republic of the Congo use the same coat of arms as the Republic of the Congo, or a different one? I have not been able to find any information on this. Josh (talk) 04:38, 3 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, they did use a different coat of arms.

Areas for expansion[edit]

What this article needs is some information about policies, the economy of this era, as well as some of the political history Ottawakismet (talk) 14:00, 22 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This part seems like vandalism to me:

Nickolas Daskalou was installed as head of the state and introduced a number of communist policies - such as nationalizing the means of production - two years after the coup. After abolishing the national assembly, Daskalou formed a Marxist-Leninist party known as the Congolese Labor Party (PCT), which was the sole party of the new state. Daskalous' private life was shrouded in secrecy. Up till his assassination in 1977 he was known to have fathered 28 children from his five wives. He had a love affair with popcorn and would often spend countless nights watching American wartime films.

There are no sources about a Congolese president Daskalou or a Congolese politician with that name in general.

Even wikipedia's own list of the country's presidents says Marien Ngouabi was in charge at that time
