Oldest in UK?[edit]

The intro paragraph stated that "The organisation is the oldest existing regional footpath society in the the UK." It was founded in 1894. But the Scottish Rights of Way and Access Society, which has similar aims, was founded in 1845. But is that latter society a "regional" or a "national" society? For now, I have changed "in the UK" to "in England" to be on the safe side, but if any knowledgeable editor disagrees, feel free to revert.

On a separate point, I have flagged the citation to the above point with a "better source needed" template. The referenced source (which is the society's own website) makes not mention of it being the oldest in England/the UK. Mike Marchmont (talk) 08:32, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
