Early comments[edit]

Keep them seperate, but provide a link on both pages to each other.

Shouldn't this page be about the movie, with a seperate page describing the soundtrack?

Page move[edit]

I propose moving this page to Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid (album) to sort out the confusion of having two articles with virtually the same name. I've already converted Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid into a film-stub about the Peckinpah film, with a mention of the album and a link to this article, which will need updating should we move it. We'll then need to do a "What Links here" (article sidebar) and sort out any articles linking to the wrong page. Something needs doing because the current situation is a complete mess. Any opinions? - Motor (talk) 21:05:40, 2005-08-19 (UTC)

I've moved the page, and Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid now points to the film article rather than the album. I've also added a disambiguation link to the top of the movie article, so that anyone following any & links will be able to find it, and preferably update it on the originating page. - Motor (talk) 13:11:09, 2005-08-20 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:PatGarrett.jpg[edit]

Image:PatGarrett.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Great article[edit]

Just a great article- no other comments. Really enjoyed this for some reason. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.133.229.226 (talk) 20:21, 23 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Album chart position[edit]

The year, currently 1966, can't be right, as the album was released in 1973. Sorry, although I strongly suspect the year it charted should be 1973, I have no way to verify. 209.90.166.195 (talk) 19:22, 21 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Pecos Blues or Peco's Blues[edit]

The article currently has it spelled both ways. --GentlemanGhost (converse) 21:17, 16 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The primary bootleg presents it as "Peco's Blues", but I don't believe this is correct. There is no character named Peco in the film, and the Pecos Valley is a location mentioned in "Billy 4". Bede735 (talk) 23:19, 16 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I changed the article so that both instances of the song have matching spelling. I chose "Pecos" as that is probably more accurate and the bootleggers probably misspelled it. I'm perfectly willing to have it the other way if someone makes a strong argument for it, though. My primary concern is that we aren't inconsistent. Thanks! --GentlemanGhost (converse) 19:32, 22 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
