Hi, that I know, women, like men, have a falsetto overlapping their head voice range. Only falsetto has less energy, closure and amplitude. And they have strohbass as well, as strohbass seems to be a reinforced form of fry (also with a clearer tone). The dinstinction between sexes of this term (flute, flageolet etc) is of an artistic nature and does not concern the physiology of the laryngeal mechanism, which is basically M2 with failed (or incomplete) closure 78.15.218.198 (talk) 02:08, 15 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Exactly. The whole paragraph is inaccurate. Men and Women both can have Vocal fry as well as whistle register and falsetto. Another thing is only the men with very light and high voices can achieve a pure head voice. Lower male voices does not have access to a "pure" head voice, but rather sings in an extremely head dominant mixed voice. Penpaperpencil (Talk) 13:49, 16 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
