Fair use rationale for Image:Pyat rublei 1997.jpg[edit]

Image:Pyat rublei 1997.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Map Update Needed[edit]

The map of Paris Club members on this page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paris_Club#mediaviewer/File:Map_of_Paris_Club.png) needs to be updated to reflect 24 June 2014 accession of Israel to permanent member status. http://www.clubdeparis.org/sections/actualites/etat-d-israel-devient/downloadFile/PDF/PR20140624Accession_Israel.pdf?nocache=1403605924.1.

Accomplishments section[edit]

Why is "* 1982: The Mexican crisis triggers the “debt crisis” of the 1980s." in the accomplishment section? did the Paris Club have a hand in this event?
This line should be removed or moved to another section and complemented with a better explanation.

There is a greater problem with this section and possibly the whole article.

The section "Accomplishments" of the before mentioned article contains a verbatim text from the paris club official web-site (I was searching and adding references when I noticed the Copy/past).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paris_Club#Accomplishments http://www.clubdeparis.org/en/communications/page/historical-development

The Paris club legal mention prohibits the reproduction of their material without their consent. So I think this text is against wikipedia guide lines unless I'm mistaken. http://www.clubdeparis.org/en/communications/page/legal-information

Is there a possibility to ask for their permission by an admin Wikipedian? and does the text have to be removed? How to report a problem like that on wikipedia? Amanouz (talk) 15:30, 25 May 2017 (UTC) Tigraan[reply]

  • Amanouz, I am not entirely sure why you pinged me, but here we go. Since the "history" section was a simple copy-paste of a copyrighted work, it is fairly clearly a copyright violation, which is not allowed. You can try yourself to ask for permission (see Wikipedia:Example requests for permission, no need for an admin to get involved here) but I doubt you would succeed. In the meantime, I removed it. In addition to that, I requested the page history to be redacted to remove the copyright violation from public view; I am not entirely sure how this works though (WP:CRD#1 says this redaction cannot apply if non-infringing contributions would be redacted, but since no other contribution touched the "history" section, maybe it works), but it will attract an administrator to take care of it. • Tigraan Hi, I pinged you because I needed help with this, I wrote about it in another wikipedian who is active in the economy portal but without response. I wanted to write about it in your talk page but saw that you prefer to be pinged in the talk page of the articles so I did as you requested for contact. This explanation is also for the future references where I could need help and I hope to be able to pinge you to provide it (Since I learned of this feature in your talk page it seems appropriate) Amanouz (talk) 15:01, 26 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
