Not a national name[edit]

I'm in Victoria and I sometimes hear or read the term Parents and Citizens (often abbreviated to P & C) in national media, generally originating from Sydney. I contend that the term is NOT used in Victoria, making the Australian claim in the lead wrong.

That is because Victorian School Councils include more parents than School Boards in other jurisdictions. The term 'parents & citizens association' is explicitly used in the ACT, NSW, Queensland and Western Australia. Ultimately what an organisation calls itself is up to them when they incorporate, but I think using the P&C term as representative of Australia is far enough.203.221.80.54 (talk) 01:06, 13 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hadn't realised there had been a reply here. If there are three states out of six where the term is never used. then it's NOT fair enough to use it here. HiLo48 (talk) 01:33, 3 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
