Powerlifting classificationParalympic powerlifting classification – This is not classification for powerlifting in general, since much of that is not covered here, but in the standard powerlifting article. That is based on weight and sex only. When this is moved, the current name should redirect to the main article powerlifting since the weight classes are covered there. 76.65.128.252 (talk) 11:01, 31 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Paralympic powerlifting classificationPowerlifting classification – Per WP:COMMONNAME. The common name for the sport on the disability sport is judo. It is not "disability powerlifting" of "Paralympic powerlifting." This is common name is found in the literature. There is no confusion on the able bodied side. • Oppose this has nothing to do with classification of powerlifting in general, and only deals with the classification of powerlifting in disabled sport contexts. There is nothing in this article that covers general classifications of powerlifting, such as by age, or gender, or skill level. -- 65.92.181.190 (talk) 06:25, 22 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose: Misleading, as it would imply that all players are covered. --Stfg (talk) 10:06, 22 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per WP:COMMONNAME, original move shouldn't have been made. Bidgee (talk) 11:03, 22 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose per guidelines on precision in article titles. Graham87 15:12, 22 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. Only refers to disabled sport, so needs to be specific to avoid confusion. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:28, 22 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
