RE: Sandbox deletion request and backstory[edit]

Hello,

It would appear that my sandbox have been requested for deletion by User:Drmies due to alleged violations of Wikipedia's WP:MEMORIAL policy. So I decided to blank out all of my Sandbox content.

I know adding 'fake' information is very wrong in real life, but I didn't know that it is actually AGAINST the Wikipedia Sandbox guidelines, or at least it is not entirely free-to-add. The truth about my decision and possession of making those 'fan-made' articles of my 'dream movie ideas' is because my career dream is to become an animation filmmaker and I wanted to see what they would look like as Wikipedia articles. For the fake names, they are all basically me through "different" talents. The names are impersonations and fillers of my made-up animation studio staff. Reason being, I don't want to include my real name in those 'fake' film articles because I have so much ideas, it would be way too much work for a single person to do if it was a real thing. I also have autism and I tent to play out my movie ideas as if everything was real. This all has nothing to do with violating Wikipedia's policy, and it's actually illegal. I even posted a warning at the top of the sandbox that my "articles" would contain 'fake' information and is "not intended to provide false or fraudulent". Still, it's not very rightful.

I didn't know it was the policy until now. I think what really triggered the deletion request is the 'fake names' mentioned above, and that's understandably a very severe case. In my honesty, I don't tend to read some of the website's guidelines often, as I just like to use Wikipedia for fun and research purposes. I hope I didn't cause that much damage. I also realized that doing 'fake' articles could negatively impact a user into the addiction of 'fraudulent' writing in real life. I have also been doing this from my old account User:WikiFanCreator2010/sandbox which I don't use anymore and I have cut all the content to this page.

I now understand that Wikipedia sandbox articles are not meant for adding just whatever a user wants, and now, after receiving the notice and understanding Wikipedia's Sandbox misuse policy, I will stop posting 'fake' articles and only use the Sandbox for creating 'real' articles. Writing 'false' or 'fraudulent' information is illegal in the real world and can be punishable with imprisonment or fines, so I got to be extra careful. Though, I always use my real name and contact info when filling out documents, applications, and creating accounts, but Wikipedia is still not a good place to make a habit of doing whatever I want in Sandbox.

With all that said, I will only use Sandbox articles responsibly (depending if I get blocked or not) and stop with the 'fake article' nonsense. Please forgive my actions and accept my apology for committing such criminal-like actions on my Sandbox. I didn't know about the policy until now, and everyone makes mistakes. Thank you for understanding and taking the time to read. If the deletion should process, so be it. (Animawiki29 (talk) 06:43, 11 July 2018 (UTC))[reply]
