first edition of the article[edit]

Turkish Studies Group[edit]

From the bibliographic records of the newletter, I can see that this organisation dates back further, as the Turkish Studies Group. Also on an article v. 6 of Political science (journal) (1973; American Political Science Association) says[1]:

“

...Dankwart A. Rustow, CUNY, was elected Honorary President of the Turkish Studies

Association, formerly known as the Turkish Studies Group of the Middle East ...

”

And Turkish Studies Association bulletin, Volume 21, Issue 1 (1997):

“

Finally a decision was made in favor of Dan Rustow. ... In the very early days,

when TSA was still the Turkish Studies Group, our annual meetings followed a ..

”
