Color[edit]

"Puce" appears to be an error. It is a color that is fairly close to pink,so I think the error comes from some sources listing the color as puce and some as pink, though that is just speculation. In any case, a search reveals no pictures of a sixth color of otamatone (nor the transparent colors, but I'm only dealing with one thing at a time. I'm confident enough that I'm removing the puce reference. Lucy Kemnitzer (talk) 03:14, 29 July 2018 (UTC)Lucy Kemnitzer.[reply]

Electrophones (5) -- Sitearm | Talk 16:57, 2 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

More specifically (53) or "instruments in which sound is produced by electrical means″. The sound is not created by electric air valves or from microphones. It's a synthesizer which goes under RadioElectric instruments in the Hornbostel–Sachs system. — ayman (talk) 08:05, 17 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Development year source[edit]

The article states the Otamatone was developed in Japan in 1998. However, I couldn't find any source confirming this date. The year was added in an edit in October 2017 without linking any source and seems to be an error. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2003:E6:8714:F00:51B8:15F2:EE7C:BEAC (talk) 22:55, 23 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
