Name of page[edit]

I think this should be renamed "Orientale Province" since "Congo" is ambiguous. Dblomgren 07:28, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orientale[edit]

"Orientale" redirects to here, "Orientale, Congo". Should a disambiguation page or "other uses" template be added to accommodate "Mare Orientale" also?--Vampus (talk) 15:07, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the move request was: Moved to Orientale Province, a name that does appear regular in sources Mike Cline (talk) 14:00, 13 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Orientale (province)OrientaleRelisted. Given the hat note, it appears that the other use needs to be considered in this discussion. The point has been raised in the discussion that the other use could be the primary topic. Vegaswikian (talk) 19:42, 5 February 2012 (UTC) No need for disambiguation in the title. • Support. There's no other entity called Orientale at Wikipedia. —  AjaxSmack  18:15, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment. The name is short for Province orientale (Eastern province). I am not sure this is relevant, since this is the English wiki, but Orientale on its own looks odd to me. I read it as a variant of "Oriental". Aymatth2 (talk) 19:02, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment I agree with Aymatth2, it's a variant of "oriental", and I think of the lunar sea first of all. 70.49.124.157 (talk) 06:13, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose, weakly. Ideally a title is the one most likely to be used by someone looking up the subject, and is unlikely to be used by someone looking up another subject. I would support a move to "Orientale Province", which I think (with no proof) is the most likely term. "Orientale" on its own seems a less likely term, and may also be used by people looking for the Mare Orientale, which gets rather more page views. Not sure if "Orientale" should be a disambig or point to Mare Orientale. Aymatth2 (talk) 21:27, 5 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
