How come she's not listed under the 2000 parade? The linked article specifically mentions Operation Sail. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.236.26.74 (talk) 13:59, 5 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Number of Ships Sailing in 1976.[edit]

The article states that 16 ships sailed in 1976 but lists the names of 19 ships. Can the number of ships be confirmed and the article be made consistent?

The participating ships apparently differed from port to port. For example, I'm pretty sure the Nippon Maru wasn't present in Baltimore. Mangoe (talk) 03:40, 21 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The article cites no source for what I have now properly titled the "Op Sail Fleet." (The 16 tall ships are so identified in the official program book; the Gazela Primeiro had been omitted.) There were 113 ships scheduled to be in the Op Sail Fleet according to the program book (May 1976), and some of those listed in the article were not in the book, so I have no idea why they were included, as there is no source cited. When I get a chance, I will update the article to include the names of all 133 ships scheduled to be in the Op Sail Fleet. Meanwhile, the list of 16 tall ships is now correct. Just to make it clear: The 113-member Op Sail Fleet does not include the 16 tall, square-rigged, school ships. Rochkind (talk) 23:31, 28 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Just added the Op Sail Fleet from the 1976 official program book. Rochkind (talk) 00:57, 29 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Missing ship from Opsail dates[edit]

The Brigantine, St. Lawrence II out of Kingston, Ontario, Canada sailed in Opsail '64, '76 and '92. 74.12.11.226 (talk) 00:50, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed, it is listed as part of the Op Sail Fleet in the official program book form Operation Sail 1976. Rochkind (talk) 23:29, 28 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You should know about this and comment. One of our editors has systematically depopulated it (perhaps from this article among many others), and thinks that is a good reason to delete it. 7&6=thirteen () 17:46, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
