Plot[edit]

OK, I took a stab at the plot. I used the lyrics mainly as my source. By no means is this the definitive answer, but I wanted to get something started. --Cholmes75 15:19, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I kinda disagree with the plot but I didn't want to change it because it is just my interpretation, but I'd thought I'd post it here and see what anyone thinks

Nikki is finally released from prison after almost eighteen years. Nikki is still convinced that America's government is corrupt in its core and wants to bring it all down. He also realizes he's back at square one. He's also consumed in his hatred for Dr.X, blaming him for his addiction and for what happened to Mary.

Nikki begins dwelling on his past again, This time remembering his trial, and how he was feeling like he was judged guilty before it began, how corrupt the legal system is. Then, past the trial to how alone he was in prison, how he missed Mary , and how he missed his Needle. Astonished that half his life was wasted in prison, alone and empty, turning his hate out to the world, and in particular, X. With his conscience nagging him (in the form of Mary) about how pathetic he is, and he once again vows to rid the world of X.

However, the last thing X said to him still rings in his head... he is basically a worthless junkie. Resisting his addiction becomes futile and quickly falls back on his old habit. Believing even more-so now that he needs to kill X to be free. He hunts down X and after years of hunting, finds him. Now faced with the opportunity, he's conflicted if he should let everything go and start anew, or seek his vengeance.

The confrontation finally takes place. X in his arrogance thinks Nikki isn't capable of killing his master. Nikki eventually kills Dr.X, and finally feels fulfilled and relieved. Once he finally kills him, He's left with a massive emptiness. Now he's even more alone, without even his vengeance to drive him, left with nothing but his needle. Wondering if he can contribute to society or if he should just stay lost in his constant high, his conscience again beings to attack him. Now the question Mary proposes if he should try to cleanup or if he is beyond redemption or if he should just commit suicide.

Nikki continues to wallow about how tragic his life has become. Wondering if he is in the least bit sane, or if he is right and should kill himself. He goes back and forth, wondering if anyone would care about his death. Gun in hand, ready to die, he has a change of heart and decides not to kill himself, with the gun at any rate. Nikki continues to get high, and accidental or not, overdoses.

Mary and Nikki are then reunited in the after-life. They dwell upon their brutal lives and realize that the only happiness they had in life, was each other. Warlock2019 (talk) 20:52, 2 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
