I noticed that the link for the word Tachi was pointing to the wiki page for Chokutō. According to the Chokutō page it says that Chokutō are "very distinct from later tachi and katana which rarely use these forms" so I'm assuming they are two different kinds of swords. The description in the inline reference calls the sword a Tachi, however the source itself is in Japanese so I can't read it. Again, assuming that the sword is correctly a Tachi I have changed the link to point at the Tachi page instead of the Chokutō page. Wolfhound668 (talk) 17:20, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I reverted your edit for the following reason... In Japanese the word "Tachi" can have different spellings (at least two) corresponding to different meanings. The Tachi article is about later curved swords, which is one of these two types. The sword at Omura Shrine however is an older straight sword (Chokutō. It is a complicated somewhat messy topic.
