Original research tag[edit]

The section 'The Denys Family of Olveston Court' was entirely created by now-retired User:Lobsterthermidor. As explained here, his contributions, though well-intentioned, were problematical due to the persistent integration of original research among the referenced parts, making it very difficult to disentangle the reliable content from his own interpretations, speculation, personal opinions and comments.

This is the first time that I have looked at this entry on Olveston. May I take issue with the Denys family at Olveston Court. It is confussion with that of Olveston and Alveston being adjoining villages. The Denys family resided in what we know today as Church Farm Rudgeway, within Alveston Parish. The Church adjoining became a chapel of ease to Olveston Church hence the reference to and the brass memorial within Olveston Church. The Denys moved from Alveston to Siston were they remained. It was the Crok and Walshe family who resided at Olveston Court during the period you quote on the Denys.
