MoMA[edit]

In New York, the Cooper Union Art School was never part of the Museum of Modern Art. --Wetman 07:34, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The wording in this area altered, originally it said "There he taught at both the Cooper Union and Museum of Modern Art schools." This is the last version with the old text. Is that more accurate? And if it is, can you fix it? Mr Stephen 08:06, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
This source [1] says:
He was at one time Instructor of Sculpture at the Cooper Union Art School, Museum of Modern Art, New York City.
The Smithsonian [2] doesn't mention MoMA, so I've deleted MoMA for the time being. Tyrenius 11:23, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
the bit about his being an instructor of sculptor at Museum of Modern Art came from Mantle Fielding [see references] and I'll get it back in as soon as i master the art of footnoting - for which I am not in a rush. Carptrash 18:40, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've reinstated it according to what you say. Tyrenius 02:35, 11 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Myself Emerging[edit]

"Myself Emerging" is a bit elusive. The nearest I can get to it is this page at the British Library, which lists it as "Mysekf Emerging". Any ideas, anyone? Mr Stephen 19:42, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Note (1) that link is clearly session-based and has timed out. Sorry. (2) Carptrash assures me that BL has it wrong. I will contact them and see what they have to say. Mr Stephen 09:55, 11 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
in case you are feeling a bit unsure, here is the cover of the book. I think it is great for wikipedia to let folks know that we take this stuff seriously. Carptrash 16:13, 11 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You can only claim fair use if you specifically refer to the book, so I suggest you write a paragraph about it, if it is a key element in the article. I think it would help to give more insight about the artist to talk about the book, in which case it can be kept. Otherwise, it will have to be deleted, even from the talk page. I have moved it to the article for the time being. Tyrenius 16:47, 11 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:CBMyselfEmergingCover.jpg[edit]

Image:CBMyselfEmergingCover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
