"The Theory of Xenomorphosis explains the concept of the Union of Opposites in relation to audiovisual expression and the nature of external stimulae as an invasion of the nervous system," how such utter twaddle can be part of an encyclopedia is beyond me...

as well as methods of achieving transcendence from consensus reality through cognitive dissonance and heightened states of awareness attainable through persistence of vision. Film as a method of applied magic is addressed in these essays.

What's sad about Wikipedia is that one disgruntled crank can impugn the integrity of a true artist just because he/she (of course, the crank remains anonymous) doesn't understand or agree with the edgy content of the artist. "The Theory of Xenomorphosis" may be a bit "out there," but there are dozens of : references to it on Google. As for whether Nick Zedd is notable enough for inclusion in Wikipedia, the question is ridiculous. He may not be a household name, but that's the point of encyclopedias. He's a major figure in underground and cult cinema, with : tens of thousands of Google citations and nearly : two dozen films to his directorial credit on IMDB. -- rickbruner, January 28, 2007
