Notable?[edit]

I am not sure if the service has stand-alone notability separate from its more notable founder(s)? Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 05:52, 28 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Stepan Putilo and the other founder imprisoned, so either we write Stepan Putilo or keep this article.Xx236 (talk) 08:01, 2 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I believe the topic does meet the general notability guideline given that a) it played a large role in the 2020–2021 Belarusian protests, and b) received independent media coverage even before the Ryanair incident. It seems to me there is just as much coverage of Nexta as there is for other Belarusian oppositional organisations that also have Wikipedia entries.
However, in the case that it is decided that the topic doesn't have enough standalone notability, I think it would be better to condense and merge this article into either the articles 2020–2021 Belarusian protests or Ryanair Flight 4978 (preferably after it is renamed to Arrest of Roman Protasevich). Or perhaps even merge into a new standalone article about the use of social media during the protests?—there is precedent for this such as Usage of social media in the 2019–2020 Hong Kong protests. • Of course it is very much notable, and not only in context of the "Belorussian revolution", but after the arrest of Protasevich. Main reason for his arrest and interception of the plane was his previous work in Nexta. My very best wishes (talk) 16:51, 14 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
