  • Oppose move Page should remain at New Zealand women's national softball team per Wikipedia standard naming conventions for national sports teams. Any other name could confuse readers as to what exactly this page is about. Team nicknames can be noted in the body copy of the article. Ejgreen77 (talk) 18:51, 5 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose The Australian and New Zealand national teams of various sports all seem to have well-known nicknames domestically, but being national teams their primary interest should be international, and other countries typically don't use these nicknames. In addition, disambiguation is best avoided per WP:Natural. Timmyshin (talk) 20:41, 5 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose as per other opposers. Local nicknames such as (Tall/All/Wheel/Ice) Black(s)/White(s)/Silver (Sticks/Caps/Sox/Ferns) are not used (with perhaps the exception of All Blacks) in international competition outside of trans-tasman matches. Stick to a standard that is globally recognised; even the most well-known NZ sports "brand" is New Zealand national rugby union team rather than All Blacks.
