Opening comments[edit]

It's pretty clear that the road is named "State Route 28", not "Nevada State Route 28". See [1]. --SPUI (T - C) 18:56, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Disagreed. --Rschen7754 (talk - contribs) 19:05, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Please state your reasoning. --SPUI (T - C) 19:14, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Do I really need to at this point? --Rschen7754 (talk - contribs) 19:44, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Using "Nevada" in the article title, I can sort of see the point (for article searching) but at the very least, use the actual name in the article text (especially the bolded text) and in all articles that link to it. --Polaron | Talk 22:31, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Searching is taken care of by a redirect. --SPUI (T - C) 00:32, 2 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
This is ridiculous. There is no semantic difference between Nevada SR 28 and SR 28 except that the latter would be more likely used within a state. States sometimes have to work together to join roads, and I'm sure that if you're driving along Non-Nevada Road and you see a sign that just says State Route 28 you're going to be a little confused. This is a formality without a utility. Use the state name. --Dhartung | Talk 05:52, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That is not the name of the road. --SPUI (T - C) 08:50, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why is this road notable?[edit]

In a previous post, deleted because someone thought it was trolling, I asked "who cares... it's just a road". OK, perhaps I did not phrase this in the best of ways ... but I do have a point to make. Does it really matter what the road is called? Is this road notable? Does it pass by something of interest? Is it mentioned in a song, book, tv show, etc.? In other words, What makes Navada State Route 28 different than Navada State Route 27 or 29? Put that in the article an the average reader might just show some interest and care about the topic. I will review this article later today. TCN7JM 13:42, 15 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  1. The lead is unusually dry. Most, if not all other road articles I've seen nominated at GAN have the termini mentioned in the lead, while this one doesn't. It also doesn't seem to say enough about the history. Stuff like when the highway was first designated as a state route and when it was designated as a scenic byway are important enough for the lead, but are nowhere to be found.
  2. The third sentence of the route description doesn't make any sense. I'd tell you how to reword it, but I'm not sure what it's supposed to mean.
  3. You should mention the names of the scenic byways that SR 28 was designated as a part of in the history.

I will put this article on hold for you to fix these issues. TCN7JM 13:53, 15 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, it looks fine to me now. I will pass the article. TCN7JM 05:55, 16 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
