Does this guy even exist?[edit]

Unless I'm doing something wrong with my search, Cricinfo has no record of a cricketer of this name. The article seems to suggest that he has played in several first-class matches, and if so he would definitely be in there. -- Deville (Talk) 00:40, 26 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

He's listed on both Cricinfo and CricketArchive as Nazam Shirazi. --Jpeeling (talk) 13:32, 26 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, ok then. So I've found these links which make it look like he played in 5 ODIs against some associate countries. This doesn't seem to match with the flowery language in the article. But in any case, should we move the article to the name consistent with the sources? -- Deville (Talk) 20:18, 26 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

They weren't ODIs as Bangladesh only got ODI status in 1986, he's not notable by WP:CRIN guidelines, however he probably meets WP:ATHLETE on the basis that the ICC Trophy is the 'highest amateur level of a sport'. On the renaming point the BanglaCricket link uses Nazim so it's not clear cut, there are a lot of variations in spelling when it comes to Bangladesh and Pakistan players so as long as there's a redirect on the alternate spelling I don't mind. --Jpeeling (talk) 21:01, 26 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

removing POV tag with no active discussion per Template:POV[edit]

I've removed an old neutrality tag from this page that appears to have no active discussion per the instructions at Template:POV:

This template is not meant to be a permanent resident on any article. Remove this template whenever:
  1. There is consensus on the talkpage or the NPOV Noticeboard that the issue has been resolved
  2. It is not clear what the neutrality issue is, and no satisfactory explanation has been given
  3. In the absence of any discussion, or if the discussion has become dormant.

Since there's no evidence of ongoing discussion, I'm removing the tag for now. If discussion is continuing and I've failed to see it, however, please feel free to restore the template and continue to address the issues. Thanks to everybody working on this one! -- Khazar2 (talk) 00:37, 22 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
