mileages not right[edit]

I think Rika's Landing Roadhouse is in the Big Delta State Historical Park, isn't that the same as the Big Delta Historical District? But their mile markers are 20 miles off... Rika's is close to where the pipeline crosses the Tanana. ++Lar: t/c 00:48, 5 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That is a good point — while I'm not familiar with the area (closest I've been to Alaska is southeastern Wyoming!), the coordinates are virtually identical. I'd advise you not to change anything unless you can get a citation: something's wrong, but we need to know what the problem is before we change anything. Nod. And (per your message on my talk just now) thanks for reporting it to the NRHP folk. ++Lar: t/c 03:40, 5 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
This site, which contains a pic of Rika's, gives the location as MP 274.5. That's supposedly an Alaska state government site (I plan to use it as a source for the Rika's article I'm working on). We were there last week, so it hangs together for me. Page 483 of The Milepost, 2009 edition, gives the MP as 275, with the bridge across the Tanana just after it at MP 275.4... so 252 is probably whacked. ++Lar: t/c 04:25, 5 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
