In Main Surakpur Road, there is a Bhagwati Temple (South Indian Maa ka Mandir) situated in Aradhana Enclave, Main Surakpur Road (hardly 1 km from Main DTC Bus Terminal). It was constructed in almost 300 sq yards and thousands of people (south & north indians) come here to worship the Goddess. Most famous Yearly Pongala Festival & Monthly Pongala/Ponkala are being conducted. In addition to Maa Bhagwati's deity, there are Ganapathi, Ayyappa & Naaga deities are there. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.59.2.2 (talk) 11:38, 19 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled[edit]

frankly speaking najafgarh has more population of Jats who are generally ruff and tuff and often blunt in their behaviour. when a urban person talk with them it gives a bad impression permanently in his/her mind. but being their mother tongue, jats can not be expected to be polished in a shorter period. but now the things are changing very fast. the gentry is now turning mixed. najafgarh is being habitated by the people of all india regions now. now people have started to accept the modern wardrobe being worn by females in the area whereas about 7-8 years back, it looked very odd and people used to pass uncalled unsavoury comments on them. hope soon there would be more positive sign. visible here. so be sure. about 50 % of original population of najafgarh has changed for improved version...........

Change Of The Names of Colonies In Najafgarh[edit]

Since this area of Najafgarh is fast developing and its picture is changing in terms of people and progress , i feel the need for change in the names of its colonies. I reside in Naya Bazaar and would like its name changed to a better one. I think the devlopment should show in their names also having village type names does not feel good when all things are slowly changing about our Najafgarh why not this? We must request our MCD councillor and MLA to take this forward and give better names to colonies of Najafgarh. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.180.133.16 (talk) 16:19, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
