Modern Slavery[edit]

May I point out that there is a sort of modern slavery going on in Naivasha? Flowercultivations are hiring employment for under 1 euro per day. They also have tributed to the dropping of the waterlevel of the lake in Naivasha. There was a big documentary on RTL Z on RTL 7 on Dutch tv. This may seem like a useless comment, but I believe it is important that there are at least suspections of this modern slavery. Mallerd 09:38, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, we could by all means include notes on this, but we need to reference a notable source for commentary on this. Presumably, if there's been enough concern to prompt a TV documentary, this shouldn't be hard to find? — Matt Crypto 21:06, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well, it was on Dutch TV, shouldn't it be an English source? Mallerd 13:26, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's more that using TV as a source is problematic for a couple of reasons, but chiefly that television broadcast is transitory -- once it's been shown, it's not always easy to get hold of a copy. We should really prefer written sources (and yes, preferably English if possible for en:) — Matt Crypto 15:10, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
