"An" in title[edit]

Check the poster. The title is 'My Stepmother Is An Alien'. 'An' is capitalised. Therefore the title of this article is incorrect. Further: searching with the correct title turns up nothing. Sort of weak. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.50.43.23 (talk) 01:42, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disagreement re: father/daughter relationship[edit]

I would disagree with the synopsis of the father/daughter relationship; preceding the whole batteries/cooking debacle which appears to show dan ackroyd's character as out of touch with his daughter, is a scene in which alyson hannigan's character tells her father that she is now wearing a bra. Note that he doesn't fight her on the issue, he trusts her and accepts his girl is growing up and nothing he can do will change it. When she comes to him later talking about eating batteries, he interprets her apparently genuine concerns as displaced concern for their relationship; albeit wrongly. The strength of their relationship (5 years without him having a romantic interest in his life; that's a lot of quality time) shows later in the film, when she reneges on a deal with Celeste in order to stop her father from being hurt. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.9.33.173 (talk) 00:06, 13 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Alien is clearly penis-shaped (and colored)[edit]

And there are many references to this on the internet; aside from the fact that it appears obvious http://io9.com/327811/kim-basingers-penis-terrorizes-allyson-hannigan This is in reference to some recent attempts to mention this in the article. Not a major issue for me - but I'm just sayin'...... 72.92.4.157 (talk) 18:43, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. Its not a major issue, but the description of "giant eye" is clearly misleading. It could even be said that the character's phallic appearance is in reference to various sexual themes within the movie. Isaactret (talk) 20:17, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think it's certainly worthy of mention within the article - and yes "giant eye" is not descriptive of the creature at all. This would be clear to anyone who views the clip above. Maybe a compromise: "phallic-eye" or something to that effect? 72.92.4.157 (talk) 21:12, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, that seems a good result. It is currently at "gigantic penis" which doesnt really seem to be an improvement on the original... Isaactret (talk) 21:17, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
