This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (your reason here) --Shuai309 (talk) 23:20, 2 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

We are in the team of Mulberry Child, a documentary film made a few years ago. And we are trying to create "Mulberry Child" in wikipedia given the approval of Jian Ping, one of the producer of this film. All the information is provided by Jian Ping, so is the information about Mulberry Child from other websites such as www.wmm.com. Thus violations about copy right won't be necessarily established.

  • @Shuai309: OK, I've fixed the two major issues with the page. I have more than a few things that I want to make sure that you note. First off, we cannot accept content that has already been posted elsewhere, as it is considered to be a copyright violation. You can submit a ticket to WP:ORTS and give up all the content as fair use, but the problem with this is that the content was very, very promotional in tone as far as Wikipedia goes. Even if you give it up as fair use, it's still too promotional to use. An example of what would be considered promotional would be inserting the word "moving" in the lead to describe the film, as that's considered to be an opinion/point of view at best and promotional at worse. What also came across as promotional and also a bit concerning is that you have only posted positive reviews for the movie. Please understand that this is considered to be cherry picking and is a form of promotion as well, since the meter on Rotten Tomatoes shows that the movie got quite a few negative reviews as well. This kind of concerns me because it comes across like you are trying to establish WP:OWNERSHIP of the article and nobody can own an article or edit it to where it only portrays something in a very particular light. There is enough to show notability and I've fixed the issues, but I want to make sure that you are not going to come back and edit it to where we only have coverage of the positive reviews.
