This is a very well done addition to the Mou Zongsan article, and I believe the addressing of both consequences and criticisms displays the difference in metaphysical views as well as the implementing of these systems. The discussion of the child on the well example I believe may need another sentence or two of explanation. If clarified as a different belief than Kant I think Mou's idea of transcendence and morality may come through clearer. In that Kant only believed humans can grasp the idea of understanding morality and reality, Mou believed that a person could get much closer to the true forms of the universe. Perhaps because of Confucian ideas of harmony and the interconnectedness of the universe and man. Npetrillo (talk) 17:49, 14 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Mou Zongsan[edit]

The new additions to the 'Mou's philosophy' section provide an in depth, logically concise and substantive overview regarding Mou's philosophy as it oriented around European thinkers such as Kant and Heidegger. The prose is easy to read and logically ordered. Complex ideas presented in the section dealing with Heidegger is elegantly presented. The content very much feels like a concise review of academic journals that is readable by the average reader. Each section builds on one another and gives the reader a deep scope into Mou's general philosophy. I suggest the author to remain consistent with the usage of Chinese characters. It also might be useful to establish the difference between 'Dasein' and 'Being' in the context of this article, for the reader may be confused whether 'Dasein' means 'Being' or if there is a difference in their meanings. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kmarcos (talk • contribs) 00:43, 22 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Mou's philosophy[edit]

Thank you a lot for your contribution. I like your summary on the comparative philosophy between Mou and Kant and Mou and Heidegger. It gives insight into how Chinese indigenous thoughts and Western philosophical traditions talk to each other. Currently, the "Mou's philosophy" section is mostly dedicated to work in Mou's view on metaphysics and moral metaphysics. Although both the introduction section and the criticism part mention the importance of Mou's political philosophy, more work can be done in the body section of the entry to explain what his political philosophy is (e.g. the concept of "self-restriction"自我坎陷) and how it relates to the rest of his metaphysics. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hzhang17 (talk • contribs) 00:11, 27 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
