Removed disputed material pending verification[edit]
I have removed the following paragraph from the article, until someone certifies that the Tagalog amapalaya is M. balsamina and not M. charantia:
- In the Philippines it is called "ampalaya" by the Tagalogs. It is a popular vegetable in the island of Luzon where it is mixed with other vegetables to make a stew. It is also sauteed with either shrimp, meat, pork, chicken and served with thick gravy.
Also the picture at right was taken from the Momordica charantia article but may be of M. balsamina. --Jorge Stolfi (talk) 22:06, 27 December 2010 (UTC)
